This is the third year of the Save Your Shamrocks Ice Hockey Tournament. It is a Fundraising tournament to support Dragonheart Vermont which supports other Cancer Support programs throughout Vermont. Players will not have to be enrolled in USA hockey to play in the tournament.
We would like players to be over 14 in the Festival.
Each team player gets a hockey jersey with their entry fee!
We had to raise the player costs $5 to cover the higher rink costs.
|Two tied teams vying for the championship game will be based on:|
|1||Head to head game if played|
|2||Least goals allowed|
|3||Least number of penalties|
|4||Most goals scored in the tournament|

The tournament is Co-Ed with 4 male players allowed per team. Two male players can be on the ice at the same time. This includes the use of a goalie. If a team has a male goalie, one other male player will be allowed to be on the ice at the same time. The tournament will consist of two divisions, one competitive (past or current college hockey players), and one recreational (sport teams out to have a fun time). Each team will have 3 games, 3 periods of 12 min, 12 min, and 15 min times. The last period will go to running time if required to maintain the event schedule.
The format is a winners bracket and a losers bracket. If you lose your first game, your team will move to the loser's bracket which, if winning the rest of your games, will move you to a playoff for the championship. Once a team is in the winners bracket, if they lose a game, they will playoff for the consolation final.
Ties will be broken by:
1. A 3 person shootout
2. Least amount of penalties
3. Least amount of goals scored upon each team
